The PDQ Solution
PDQ implemented a Datto Business Continuity & Disaster Recovery (BCDR) solution. This included
- Deployment of a Datto SIRIS appliance onsite with cloud replication
- Regular snapshot backups every hour, ensuring minimal data loss
- Automated offsite backup to Datto’s UK cloud storage for full redundancy
- Built-in ransomware detection and verification
- Regular disaster recovery testing to ensure readiness
The solution allowed for instant virtualisation of critical systems either locally or in the cloud in the event of hardware failure, data corruption, or cyberattack.
The Result
The results were clear to see with 99.99% uptime achieved over the first 12 months and full server recovery completed in under 15 minutes during a real-world power
