PDQ Computers is proud to support our Senior Engineer Lea Castle as he prepares to cycle Prudential Ride London-Surrey 100 on behalf of Great Ormond Street Hospital Children's Charity.

Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity is a leading national charity that fundraises to enhance Great Ormond Street Hospital’s ability to transform the health and wellbeing of children and young people. Donations help to fund advanced medical equipment, child and family support services, pioneering research and rebuilding and refurbishment

On Sunday 4th August, Lea will join thousands of other cyclists as they push to complete the Prudential Ride London. As they start in Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, they then follow a 100-mile route on closed roads through the capital and into Surrey’s stunning countryside

“I am cycling the Prudential 100 for Great Ormond Street Hospital Children Charity and it’s a charity close to my heart” said Lea.

“When my Brother was 1 year old, GOSH saved his life with open heart surgery. Time to help pay back my gratitude to a fantastic cause.”

Lea reported his training is going really well, having completed 40 miles last weekend he has started to do some hill training to get his base fitness up a bit more before tackling the hills for the next part of his training.

“The 100 miles is not worrying me too much but the three big hills on the ride are, which is after you’ve just done 60 odd miles!!” Lea said.
